Jules Mayouf will introduce you to this utilitarian technique. Its origins are from a time when fabric and resources were made scarce due to the closing of Japanese ports. Hence reusing fabric to mend and create new fabric was essential as commodities became depleted. Jules will guide you through this traditional piecing method and explain how to use a traditional sashiko stitch. Basic hand stitching skills required.
